Surf Park Network

Designer

Challenge:  Position and launch a business directory for the world’s leading B2B matchmaking web platform for the high-growth surf park industry.

Solution: Designed a website with search functionality that offers the following benefits: increased discoverability, improved SEO (backlinks), and enhanced visibility on a local level (via a geo filter).

1. User paths

When landing on the homepage the user is presented with two options: to list their company or to search/view listings in the directory. The options are highlighted with coral colored buttons.

2. Select search parameters

The user can select and search by any combination of parameters including category, region and keyword, or by viewing all of the listings in alphabetical order.

3. View search results

The search bar indicates that categories and/or regions are selected. Filters can be cleared within the search dropdown or by selecting “Reset all filters.” Each listing consists of an image, logo, category type and overview.

4. View company listing

All company listings follow the same format. From a UX perspective the goal was to present all content in a concise layout that limits scrolling and makes the content quickly digestible—an important feature when viewing multiple listings. Additional content (info and contact form) are located on tabs, allowing users to easily access different parts of an individual page.

5. Contact company

Each company has a contact form in which basic information is provided by the interested party. The initial point of contact is made through the form so that Surf Park Network is able to monitor these “conversions” and to gather data on the profiles of the interested party.

6. Submission success

A confirmation message is included for the following reasons: Whenever someone goes through the trouble of filling out a form they want to be assured that their submission was successful; a form submission is a trackable event which impacts analytics; and both parties (the intended recipient and Surf Park Network) are able to add the contact to their respective CRMs.
